Book Review: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Published: March 2014
Genre: New Adult, Romance, Contemporary
Sydney celebrated her 22th birthday, while she’s celebrating her birthday that’s, the year that he found out her boyfriend Hunter is cheating with her best friend/roommate, Tori. Soon, she met Ridge, who told that her boyfriend was cheating and shares same passion with music.
At first, I’m with Sydney side. I pitied her when she found out that her boyfriend is cheating and when Hunter told her that he only loves her and Tori is a friends with benefits even when they haven’t met. But still, it’s cheating. Ridge is deaf but he writes a song for his brother band. I love him especially when he helps Sydney and he let her to move in their dormitory and loyal to his girlfriend, Maggie. When they’re living in a same dormitory, they build friendship — and suddenly fall in love. YES FALL IN LOVE! And because of that I suddenly dislike the story. She knows how it feels when your boyfriend is in love to someone else, but still wants to live there. And she’s hypocrite. I don’t like her. ( Sorry for the fans of Maybe Someday. )
I love Colleen Hoover’s originality. But I got frustrated by this.
I recommended this to everyone who loves love triangle and happily-ever-after story.
