“Can you be happy when what you desire most means your doom?”

Evelyn Lakewood, an orphan, is crushed after the death of her beloved sister Zara. But the nineteen-year old enrolls in Psychology at Oxford in honor of Zara.

There, Evelyn first becomes friends with vivacious Sally and seemingly charming Felix. But the encounter with Jared Calmburry, whose incredibly blue eyes immediately captivate her, fundamentally changes her life. She is instantly drawn to this mysterious stranger around whom unusual things happen and who simply disappears every time Evelyn tries to confront him about his puzzling behavior. After finding a mysterious book with a unique symbol on its leather cover in the university library, her curiosity is perked. She doesn’t know what to make of it but Jared’s best friend Colin Sullivan encourages her with cryptic hints to continue her search for evidence. When she discovers the same medieval symbol is worn by hostile professor Karen Mayflower and engraved on another faculty member’s seal ring, she realizes that an ancient secret surrounds Jared.

Reasons why you should read this book:

1.    The mystery– If you love mystery and if you want to try to read mystery, you should read this. Why? The mystery will make you to turn the pages more especially the characters. You will be thinking why they were like that and what is really happening. I always questioning myself that “what’s really going on ” ?

2.    The characters– Evelyn Lakewood and Jared Calmburry is our main characters here. Evelyn was left alone in the world. Her parents died, and her sister took care of her but she died also. And she looks at Timmy when Mrs. Prescott and her husband are in work. Prescott family is like a new family to Evelyn.  And she was accepted at Oxford and took a course Psychology. Evelyn is a just a normal girl, going to college and make your sister proud. We can also relate to her especially the struggle when she in her life and also in college. On the other hand, Jared Calmburry is enigmatic and he’s like Evelyn, left alone in this world. Sometimes when he saw Evelyn he was suddenly missing. He’s really strange to Evelyn. But he’s a sweet guy. There’s something on him that you will hold on to it. And my favorite character here is Colin, he’s the bestfriend of Jared and also a friend to Evelyn. He and Evelyn’s friend–Sally has a relationship. The reason why I love Colin is that he’s a cool guy and he’s not mysterious at all.

3.    Sarah Kleck’ s Writing–   The Concealed is her debut novel and it’s German and translated to English. The characters were great and also the plot.

4.    The Revelation– It was unbelievable and I was completely shocked. If you love and want to read an Arthurian Legend, well you should try read this one.

The ending was cliffhanger and I want the book two.
